What each dashboard banner means

What each banner means and how to act on it.

Your last payment failed

A yellow "Update payment method" banner appears when Stripe was unable to charge your card. Stripe automatically retries failed payments over the following days, but the easiest fix is to update your card. Click "Update payment method" to open the Stripe customer portal and add or replace your card.

Your billing details are incomplete

A blue "Update in Stripe" banner appears when your billing address or tax ID is missing or incomplete on an active subscription. Compliance and EU VAT rules require this information on every invoice, so this banner cannot be dismissed — it stays visible until you complete the missing fields. Click "Update in Stripe" to open the customer portal; once you save the changes in Stripe the banner clears. Your subscription continues to work normally in the meantime.

Your subscription is not active

A yellow "Choose a plan" banner appears when your subscription is not active — you canceled it, Stripe was unable to collect payment after multiple retries, or the most recent attempt to subscribe didn't complete. Your account is on the free plan. To resume Pro features, click "Choose a plan" to go to the billing page and pick a plan; your billing details are pre-filled.

Dismissing a banner

Only the "Choose a plan" banner can be dismissed (for 7 days). The payment-failed banner and the active-subscription compliance banner cannot be dismissed — they relate to issues that affect billing or invoicing and need attention.
